Attorney General
The Attorney General performs the function of the Attorney General's Office.
The Attorney General represents the Attorney General's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and manages its work.
The function of the Attorney General may be appointed to a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a law degree that has passed the bar exam and has experience in working in the judiciary, advocacy and other state bodies and other legal entities for the duration of at least eight years after passing the bar exam and has acquired a high reputation as a legal expert in these bodies and legal entities.
The Attorney General of Bosnia and Herzegovina is appointed and dismissed by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The function of the Attorney General shall be rotated between the Attorney General and the two Deputy Attorney General's, appointed from among the constituent peoples, at regular intervals throughout the term of office.
Pursuant to the Decision of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the appointment of the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General of Bosnia and Herzegovina
No. VM 223/23 of 07.09.2023 (Official Gazette of BiH No. 64/123), following the regular rotation of the Attorney General's office starting on 20. September 2023, the function of the Attorney General of Bosnia and Herzegovina
