The position of attorney general is subject to rotation between the attorney general and two deputy attorney generals, appointed from among the constituent nations, at equal time intervals during the term of office.

In accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the appointment of the attorney general and deputy attorney generals of Bosnia and Herzegovina number: VM 266/17 of 22 November 2017. year ("Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina" number: 91/17), according to regular rotation, the position of attorney general starts from 27.4.2023. performed by Prof. Ph.D. Mlađen Mandic.
